Birthday Sprinkle is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or join a club. Clubs run by businesses that serve alcohol require you to be 21 or older, and those gifts require a valid photo ID at redemption. By joining you confirm you meet the applicable age requirement.
Birthday Sprinkle is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. We ask for your birth month and day so we can send your gift — we never ask for your birth year. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 18, we delete it. A parent or guardian who believes their child provided us information can email us and we will remove it promptly.
When you join, we collect your first name, email, birth month and day, and (optionally) your ZIP or city and — only if you choose birthday texts — your mobile number. We use this only to send your birthday and half-birthday gifts, run your account, and show you clubs near you. We do not collect your birth year, a password, or payment information from members — joining is always free.
The business whose club you join can see the information you gave when joining, so they can send your gift. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other businesses you didn't choose to join. We use service providers (for example, email delivery and hosting) solely to operate Birthday Sprinkle.
Joining a club opts you in to that club's birthday emails. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link that stops all future emails across every club you've joined.
Birthday texts are optional and opt-in only. You receive texts only if you check the “text me my gift” box and provide your mobile number when you join; consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase. Messages are birthday and half-birthday gift notifications, an occasional reminder before a gift expires, and occasional offers from a club you joined.
Message frequency varies and is low — typically only a handful of texts per year, around your birthday. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from texts at any time, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or SMS opt-in with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing. Mobile information is used only to deliver the texts you asked for, through our messaging provider. Text-message consent is kept separate from email — opting out of one does not change the other.
Depending on where you live (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar state laws), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. You can delete your account and all of your data yourself at any time from your private Birthday HQ page (the /melink in your emails) — or email us and we'll take care of it.
Each birthday gift is offered by the individual business, subject to its own terms (such as minimum purchase, dine-in only, or a 30-day redemption window). Birthday Sprinkle provides the platform; the business honors the gift. Gifts have no cash value.
By creating a club you agree to these terms on behalf of your business. Your gift is your promise: you set the offer, its conditions, and its expiration, and you agree to honor valid, unexpired gifts presented at your business. You may change or discontinue the offer for future gifts at any time; gifts already issued should be honored through their printed expiration.
Billing. Every club starts with a free trial (currently 60 days) — no card required and nothing is charged during the trial. If you subscribe, your card is billed monthly through Stripe after the trial ends; you can cancel anytime from your dashboard, effective at the end of the current billing period. If your trial ends without a plan, gift sending pauses but your members and settings are kept.
Your member list is yours — and only yours to use here.Members who join your club shared their information with your business through Birthday Sprinkle. You may email them through the platform's tools; you agree not to export, sell, or use the list outside the platform in ways members didn't agree to. The “invite your list” tool may only be used with customers who have a genuine business relationship with you.
Bill photos are processed only to read the total; the image is discarded and never stored. AI-drafted text(gift offers, member emails) is a suggestion — you are responsible for reviewing it and for everything sent in your business's name.
Birthday Sprinkle is provided “as is”without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee uninterrupted service, email deliverability to any particular inbox, or any level of signups, redemptions, or revenue for businesses. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose (for members, the service is free). We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date, and continued use after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
